Is that the new standard? Just don't be worse than the worst coaching staff ever.
Georgia director of player personnel and interim special teams coordinator Todd Hartley will be a new assistant for Miami coach Mark Richt, according to a source.
Hartley will be special teams coordinator and also coach tight ends or defensive backs, per the source. It’s a reunion with Richt for Hartley, who got his start in coaching as a student assistant for Richt at Georgia in 2006.

Interesting. Hope it's TE honestly. If not, I'd wager our DC has DB experience (Ward/Martinez/Raymond?)
So a bunch of green guys.....smfh
It's special teams coordinator. Stop being a *****.
I think we can all agree, we just upgraded our special teams coach.
Hiring Larry Scott as OL coach would be a disaster. That's not a position where just plug a guy in because he played OL ten years ago. You need a technician at that spot.Another thought - if he's TE coach that could also allow Scott to coach OL since he has TE experience as well.

Yea bc those aren't important or anything.........
Freshman WR (from Florida) Isaiah McKenzie managed to score on a KR this year...He'll have more/better returners to work with here...I think we'll be fine.
GEORGIADOGS.COM - Todd Hartley Named Director of Player Personnel at UGA - University of Georgia Official Athletic Site
ATHENS ---- Todd Hartley, assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Marshall University, has been named Director of Player Personnel at the University of Georgia by UGA head coach Mark Richt.
Hartley joined the Marshall staff in March, 2011, and served as the Herd's safeties coach for two seasons before being named tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator in March, 2013. A graduate assistant coach at Georgia in 2009, he was named "interim defensive backs coach" for the 2009 Independent Bowl. The Bulldogs won the game, 44-20, over Texas A&M - a team that entered the game with the nation's fifth ranked scoring offense.
"We've worked with Todd in the past at Georgia and he did an excellent job including his interim role with our defensive staff," said Richt. "He's a tireless worker and having served as recruiting coordinator and on-field coach in recent years he has a strong sense of what we are looking for in a student-athlete at Georgia."
Prior to his graduate assistantship at Georgia, Hartley served as an offensive quality control coach at West Virginia from May, 2008 to May, 2009, and as an offensive/special teams undergraduate assistant at UGA from 2006-08. He earned his B.S. in Health and Physical Education from UGA in 2008.
A native of Gray, Ga., Hartley is married to the former Jessica Spires and they have three children: son Tucker and daughters Tenley and Teagan.
