To those that attend practiSe

Cristobal has made it a point to say he wants recruits to see how they practice, so they know what they're getting into. I have a feeling it is a good way to weed out kids who don't have the right mindset for the program.

That’s meaningless Coachspeak. I wanted to know about drill quality:

OODA Loop?
Contact on people and not just bags?Tracking and decision making?
Moving targets?

Are people seeing what the video shows or pool float humping with no decision making?
You had me at "OODA" for practice.

Tighten and clean it up.

How about asking the important questions.
Did anyone run faster than Mario?
Do all of the coaches lift?
How important is proper foot care, specifically nail beds?

Is there supposed to be something that stands out in that practice clip? Seems pretty standard.
Sadly that's not standard at the college (or HS) level. Hitting stationary bags vs no resistance and diving onto the crash pad while doing so is standard.

Pretty standard at our practices, at least. Guess we’re doing something right if UGA is the gold standard for practice.
That's all I was asking about! If Miami is doing similar drills (they did not in years prior, at least from footage I saw) expect improved tackling. BTW Miami missed 16 tackles I could see watching All-22 real quick during a boring work meeting.
