To those finally finding the Baseball board…

Welcome!

Although you’ve missed the absolute highs and lows of the regular season (Don’t worry you’ve probably gotten enough just from these past few days), we’re excited to have all of the Canes community behind baseball for the next few weeks hopefully as we look to go to Omaha for the first time since 2016.

I said this was a special group from the moment I left the team in the fall and it continues to show through the resilience of this roster. Regardless of future implications, regardless of the past, this team is doing something we haven’t seen in almost a decade and it should be commended as such.

So get involved in the board, have a good time, and as always, GO CANES!

Excited about the possibility of returning to Omaha. I was at Miami from 1995-99 undergrad and grad to 2001. Those teams were insane with Pat the Bat, Huff, Michaels, etc. Always made the CWS in those days, it was almost shocking if they didn’t.

Really hope we can get things going again.

How are things looking from the portal to add on to for next year?
 
I almost threw my dog at the TV , but at 75 and been watching Canes Baseball walking across the street from Ponce and Sunset elementary Umpire Street needs really to find a new job. For god sakes I’m not sure if he was facing backwards making some of those calls. At least in the other games they were mostly consistent. But he made up a new Zone on almost every call. How do you pitch a game like that.

Also insane they didn't win a CWS until the year after they all left. Kind of like Tennessee football winning the year after Manning.

You could have started Game 3 in Hattiesburg.

I mentioned early in the year DeRias would be a Roller coaster. Electric stuff but still more of a thrower. Throw in he’s def hitting a big wall.

He needs to take the summer off get with Soto and then focus on pitch design. A tweak here and there to get more run, break, deception, etc and all of the sudden we have a big time Friday night starter.

Fill in with a legit transfer and then on Sunday you go for the kill shot with Ciscar and his funk.

I was going to post a Super Regional pick’em thread after I read your post but then I read @Angry Ibis and to be honest I hit delete 😂 as he gave me a fright.

Wasn’t sure what the post threshold was and if you saw me in person you would realize I have been dragged through mud and beat with sticks multiple times.

So if anyone wants to post 😂

Well didn’t we all know after 2 runs it was going to be at least 5. I immediately called MiamiJoe if any remember him from Grassy and Canesforever, asked him is he going to take him out before this gets ugly right. But as usual we wait three batters to long and it’s 9-0 . Gino and JD have done this for to long. I guess we just don’t have pitching depth.I’m wondering who our third pitcher will be this weekend.
