We have seen Diaz at his highs and lows for 3 years prior, defense doesnt look anywhere near the same
 
Baker calls the plays. The defense wasn't even bad last year. They were the 13th ranked Defense in the country

I don't believe UM was ever really able to make up for the loss of Willis. That dude was a beast inside last year. FIU and Duke had some runs right up the gut that were unfathomable last year.
 
Man you are stupid. Blake Baker calls the defense. I literally sit behind our bench every game and Manny doesnt even stand on that side of the field. Its literally been said that he makes the calls by the staff. Yes its Manny's defense but the scheme is not the problem the bad calls like 4th and 17 are.
 
That is really simple answer, he is the defensive coordinator. He takes the blame for poor schemes

The staff is going to back up whatever the **** the head coach says. If they publicly challenge the head coach’s claims, they’ll lose their job.

And do you really think that Manny doesn’t basically dictate the play calls to Baker?

Has nothing to do with willis, dt play has been good this year and we were deeper there

Whatever, those stats are meaningless! We were one of the worst defenses in the power five in giving up 3rd down conversions and we were dead last in the country in giving up 4th down conversions. I mean dead last 130 out of 130! Smh so basically the whole point of defense which is stopping the opponent on downs to get the ball back is the worst aspect of Diaz/bakers defense, sò basically the defense doesn’t do its main and really only job well! Lol you can’t make this **** up! Lol Diaz’s defense has need sub par since the get go, people only thought it was any good because we just got over the worst defense we’ve ever had in Doritos. Lol Diaz sucks, Baker sucks and I’m glad Diaz is already making excuses for why he’ll keep Baker because they deserve eachother! And they deserve to go down to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean together holding hands, which will probably be next year when they post a 5-7 record and that’s putting it nice, it can easily be one of those infamous Gaytor 4-8 seasons. Lol
