With a decision expected in only a few short weeks, schools are making their
final pitches at Palmetto Bay (Fla.) Westminster Christian safety Tim Irvin
including West Virginia who paid him an in-home visit Wednesday night.

Irvin, 5-foot-8, 182-pounds, welcomed the West Virginia coaches into his house
with running backs coach JaJuan Seider, safeties coach Joe DeForest and head
coach Dana Holgorsen making the trip and the visit impressed the senior.

"It went very well. Productive," said his head coach Sedrick Irvin.

Irvin, who also is an uncle to the Rivals.com four-star prospect, said the
coaches made it clear that given his skillset there is an opportunity to come
into the West Virginia program and compete for immediate playing time in the
Mountaineers secondary.

"They love the way he plays the game and he will have a chance and opportunity
to compete for playing time as a freshman," the elder Irvin said.

Irvin officially visited West Virginia for the TCU game and was impressed with
his trip, saying at the time that the coaching staff made him very comfortable
and a part of the family during his stay.

West Virginia is one of the programs that has been involved for most of the
process, with Irvin building a strong bond with his lead recruiter Seider.

"It felt like I was home. The coaches brought me in, the players brought
me in and they told me I could be a big impact player for the Mountaineers and
they just want me to be a part (of the team)," he said following his trip.

Aside from West Virginia; Irvin also has already visited Texas and Florida and
has scheduled his fourth official visit for this weekend to check out the Miami
Hurricanes.

That official visit figures to be the last for Irvin, who is expected to enroll
early at the school he selects and is expecting to make a decision at the U.S.
Army All-American Game Jan. 3. There are currently no favorites for Irvin.
