Something I would like to see more of, especially following a turnover. Miami has always had a downfield threat and we didn't take any shots last Saturday. Florida took one and it was a huge play in the game. Thomas and Pope are a couple of options that could take the top off a defense. With our TE's and our RB's receiving ability, it would be nice to get the opponents safeties to respect the deep ball.

Hard to throw deep when your quarterback is on his *** in .2 seconds every play.

Guarantee you Enos had some plays dialed up, but the line didn't allow it or Williams missed it.

Read after the game that something like four of the first dozen plays were designed to get the ball to Thomas, but the pocket either collapsed, or Williams didn't see him.

To throw it deep you need time. The O line blocking did not give time to throw it deep. Enos needs to run more shot gun on passing downs.

Yes, and he was wide open on most of them. Turds did what they needed to do. UNC shouldnt have similar success.

True, but not all deep shots are long developing plays. Torretta use to chuck the ball up on his final drop. Spurrier did the same thing back in the day. If Thomas gets a free release, you don't need much time to throw it to a spot and let him run under it.

I think that's something you'll see more as JW matures & learns to trust the routes. Diaz said he had JT4 open deep on the first drive for a sure TD but waited a second too long. I think & hope we'll get there. But yeah, that **** was missing from the game for sure

I remember a few times they opened play with a downfield bomb . . . Gets everybody's attention whether you make it or not . . . A team that does that is playing to win . . . Big . . . Two downs left to get 10 . . . No problem . . .

and Jarren tells him "no problem just CATCH it"
And Jeff responds back with

I sometimes wonder if you guys watch the games. Williams is running for his life nearly every play and you guys want him to throw down the field more often?
Everyone knows there wasn't a lot of time to throw, my point is we didn't even attempt it. I was at the game and we had a few opportunities where the wrs got behind them. Doesn't matter now, but going forward I just want Williams to let it rip if he has the chance. Sometimes you need to give your wrs a chance to make a play and there is always the element of pass interference getting called.

It gets the secondary spread out a bit more and really concerned about the deep ball which opens up a lot of shorter stuff.

But every once in a while that deep throw would connect and made for a great play.
