**** too against BC. Forget what anybody says in college a win is a win. We didn't have a good game today against a team who had nothing to lose, and a team with nothing to lose is a dangerous team. A Fake field goal, a halfback pass, going for it on 4th downs. etc etc. We grew up a little bit today due to the adversity no matter how ugly it was. And we will be ready for VT next week. Bank on it!

While I agree, I also don't understand how other teams can easily handle our opponents but we can't.

That was one game, not almost every single game they played (in fact they thoroughly blew out two top 15 teams that year).

Yeah we know this is not the 2001 team but some of you guys act like we are. Listen this team is growing up regardless of how it looks on the scoreboard. We won the **** game.

Well as great as that team was they still pulled off a nail bitter against a bad BC team.

Yet their 3rd team QB looked like Aaron Rodgers out there...

Rozier should be on the bench ... a perpetual 2nd string... Richt's initial hunch was right; he should have never played for him.

I honestly can't tell if you are trolling right now

Lol! This team, however, is not comparable to the ‘01 squad.

Nope.

What funny is guys come on here thinking that this team is underachieving! Newsflash this team is overachieving!

Our team is playing with a backup running back and freshmen wrs, a career backup as a QB etc. Richards and Barrios are the only experienced skill guys from last year and really wasn't the go to guys on that' squad. I love our passion as fans but boy we are a delusional bunch.

BC wasn't 1-7 with their only win against ODU. NC could barely field a team from injuries and gave us all we could handle. Watching ND handle NC State like they are, I'm not too excited about the next 2 weeks. Although VT vs Duke could be interesting because it is a monsoon here right now and not supposed to let up any time soon so that game could go either way.

DING DING DING

These type of comparisons are equally ridiculous to all the meltdowns and tantrums on here. Yes, the best have bad days and the worst have good days. Today wasn't merely a bad day. We have a lot of serious issues that continually surface. Some should be fixable (tackling, missed assignments, etc.), others can't be fixed right away (depth). What matters is we're winning, but this was a step in the wrong direction. Your worst game shouldn't be saved for October, and it seldom precedes your best game. These next few weeks, we need our best game and are all assuming, and praying, we haven't had it yet.

The 2001 team followed the BC scare with 59-0 and 65-7 home wins against Top 15 teams. You think 2017 Miami is going to pull off the same feat against VaTech and Notre Dame?

mentioned the 2001 BC is not a comparison...just a fact that stuff happens in college football...there may never be a team like 2001 and certainly not this young of a team, but we are 7-0 bowl qualified and have tons of potential. Maybe VT will look at this game and relax...:sneakiness:
