Coach 0. Is a fairly decent coach and just became arrogant and too comfortable with his money and situation.

Coker just plain sucked as a head coach for Miami. Clappy was an aah shucks guy win or lose. Play or not made a play.

Sorry fellas, but Coker was a **** **** for this program, no fire in that belly....It was full. And thanks to him and the administration, we (fans + Alumni) and former Canes got to pay the price. Aaand recruits.

Coker just lucked into his team. Really should have had two rings. Dude was living on easy street.

What gets me angry about the whole Coker thing is the whole local media defending him to the very last minute. It took them to go 6-6 to realize oh yeah he sucks as a coach. ITS TOO LATE!! The damage is already done. Then we follow it up by hiring his DC

2 for sure. Terry Porter wouldn't have even mattered if Coker hadn't been badly out coached by Tressell. You could say that he should have at least payed for a 3rd in 2003. If Coker had any type of football acumen or had any clue what he was doing he would have seen what he had in QB Brock Berlin and gone to a shotgun based uptempo spread type offense in the spring of 2003. Instead he forced his under center bro style offense on Berlin and wasted a championship level defense in the process. Even after starting 2003 in that prostyle offense, Coker should have figured it out after the comeback against UIF where Berlin brought us storming back after we went to a Shotgun uptempo offense. Coker was so in over his head. He was a real Mr. Magoo. The most infuriating thing was that there was a group of us on the old Canestime board who were sounding the alarms on Coker as early as 2002 but we were ignored, ridiculed, and heavily berated by the board's narrative enforcing goon squad. Good times.
