so back to back losses ATS in another game where I thought Miami would be able to cover 9.5 against a team with a backup QB that got shelled by UNC:

- The manny bye thing is real and the tell tale signs are the defense looking like their heads up their asssss and the penalties, its tangible and im sure analytic manny can probably run some pretty solid data on how different this team plays off a bye

- Blake Baker can ead

-back to back dropped picks by mccloud and phillips

- referees can ead, key calls that affected the spread were the Roche PF, fake holding on Clark, stopping a td play with a phantom replay, no calls on their KO return when all of ours had quick early flags

- Miamis overall terrible play when the game was 21-17 and had a chance to pull away, but they were in FIU mode

They killed themselves after being in perfect position from the recovered onside kick........easy points left on the field there. Drops before the half that would have given them first downs, likely leading to at least a FG, more easy points left on the field. Special teams caught sleeping, give up a 100 yard touchdown.

Even with the defense playing like pure a$$ most of the game, that could have been an easy cover with just a little less self-destruction.

You are spot on. I think that is a key play. If they capitalize on that, it starts the momentum and could have been a very different game.
