This offense is worse than last year

Throw out the Bethune game, this team scored 30 points or more 2x (UL, VT) in 12 games. Inconsistent play at QB, WR, OL. Horrendous playcalling, why are you calling a play that requires your QB to turn his back to the defense when you can't block. Even the play-by-play announcers were roasting Enos over that. Enos must not be retained.

This is sad but true. Even including our cupcake games... 90th in yards per play. 88th in plays per game. 96th in yards per game. And 130th (out of 130) in 3rd down conversion %.

Yeah it is and I never thought it could worse than rickety’s O last year..I can’t take this plodding offense anymore, it’s excruciating to watch..
When you consider his Os have gotten worse the longer he stays somewhere... Man, that's painful to think about.

Think of a lot of the games we pulled out wins on

UVA and Pitt stand out. Our defense had to play lights out and we barely won those.

Offense was putrid

CMU also

We only beat three teams handedly

The mayor’s son was quick to throw his head coach under the bus for this last year while he was looking for a HC gig. And then he was quick to tell certain players they were talented and shouldn’t transfer when he took the job.

Now what? You don’t have talent and recruiting classes are the answer.

If I were a parent of someone on this team who you recruited or talked to about sticking around, I would punch your son-of-a-politician’s nose in.

Mixed bag. I don't necessarily agree. Last season we averaged 6.1 YPA, which is laughably incompetent by college standards. We were last in the ACC and 116th in the nation. The TD/INT ratio was miserable at 19/14.

This season it vaulted to a moderate 7.7 YPA and a very good 27/8 ratio.

The problem is that 7 of the 8 interceptions were clustered in 2 games -- Virginia Tech and FIU -- and primarily at the outset of those games digging a big hole as huge favorites.

Georgia Tech was the one team that ran smack at us and broke tons of tackles. We were pushed around there. But the Virginia Tech and FIU games were unforced errors. If Williams wasn't so out of sorts and we win those two games to finish 8-4, then it's normal distribution for a program at current level, although I realize the annual 10-2 clan won't agree.

Rushing had a big decline, from back to back seasons above 5 YPC to 3.85 this season. The only two recent seasons below 4 YPC the head coach got fired both times. They were 2009 with Shannon and 2015 with Golden.

Miami had the worst offensive line I have ever seen. The absolute worst. That is how it was possible for Zion Nelson(an app st. commit) to start as a freshman at Lt(most important position. Not one of those 5 kids would start at another ACC school except possibly Scaife.

Until that is fixed, I dont care if Bruce Ariens or Andy Reid is running the offense, we will continue to throw up on ourselves. Enos didnt help at all either and they should find someone to run a spread, but 33 QB Hurries against Duke and 9 sacks is pretty much all you need to know. I expect a plethora of offensive lineman to be shown the door. Herbert, Dykstra, anyone who couldnt win a job on this line should have a transfer portal app ready.

I hope to God OL transfer in if not it will be more growth but still not a great outlook. For defenses to be good you need to sustain drives. Our line makes that very unlikely.

You're preaching. Enos needs to go but our OL was worse than last year, and I didnt think that was possible. There's gotta be a few Hoss's in the SEC or Big10 buried on the depth chart that could start here day 1.

That offensive line + a QB that averages over 3 seconds to throw the ball + Pro style offense was disaster.

Diaz is a big stat's and percentage coach. So maybe he'll get the notion to FIRE his OC after the bowl game. Because those crappy offensive stat's don't lie and are a MAJOR INDICTMENT on both Diaz and his OC. And dig this too. If he keeps his OC, then that indicates he doesn't give a **** about Miami Hurricane football, and all his gimmicks and talk were all BOGUS.

Don't blame the kid at LT or the kid at RG. Blame Richt and his offensive line coach! Also, now y'all know WHY both Hillary and Herbert COULDN'T beat out those TRUE FRESHMEN for starting positions. Ouch. Those two sub's were awful, and worse than the freshmen when they started their first game against a LEGITIMATE Top 10 squad from Gainsville. Chit, both H & H could run block or pass block!

The OL was below par but showing a bit of progress throughout the year. Lack of depth coupled with 2 injuries on the OL and 2 RBs and a starting TE out really made things difficult. Add to that a bad QB and an OC that couldn’t adjust, and it’s a recipe for disaster as we saw.

During the LSU game last night they were talking about a test given to QBs that more or less measures the mental skills that correlate to going through progressions quickly in a chaotic environment. They said Burrow was off the charts good by this measure. Don’t know exactly what the test is, but guessing UM’s QBs would score horribly. Something is way off with both Williams and Perry going through progressions. Williams is like a statue back there even when he has guys running open.
