This offense is even worst than we thought.

I know it's tough but just taking a good look at this offense it becomes clear that our problems run much deeper than playcalling and deeper than system fit. This offense literally has no foundation. The positional coaching with the possible exception of the WRs is on a level that is worse than bad. Every single unit on offense is on a different page. This offense isn't capable of doing anything well with any degree of consistency. This offense is so atrocious in the passing game that I seriously doubt that they could execute consistently against air.

Keep in mind that Richt is supposed to be an offensive coach as he has a backround as an OC. Let the following sink in. In year 3 Richt doesn't have a QB that can even function. This offense can do nothing. Nothing! Year 3 and there is zero evidence that a foundation even exists! Year 3 and what has this offense accomplished or become good at? Name one thing this offense has improved on since Richt got here. You can't because there isn't any. It begs the question...What have we been doing in practice for 3 years? That's a serious question.

This offense isn't just bad, it's historically bad. I haven't seen an offense so inept, so impotent and so flat out abysmal since Ryan Clement was behind center in 97 and that team was gutted by probation and 31 lost scholarships. I'll give the nod to the 97 offense because they gave the effort they just didn't have the players. Honestly this has got to be by far the worst coaching job I've seen since I started following UM in 81.

This university sits right on top of what is arguably the most fertile recruiting base in the country. The players here are known for their speed, quickness, agility, explosion, playmaking ability and competitiveness. With this in mind you would think that someone fortunate enough to be given the keys to this program would run the type of offense that would fit the type of players so easily found in the local recruiting base. You would think that a smart and shrewd head coach would run a variant of the spread offense with the emphasis on getting his playmakers the ball in space. We are literally watching the same B movie we saw during the Golden regime the difference being that this time the offense is the unit being terribly and inexplicably mismanaged.

Gentlemen, this has to go down as the flat out worse coaching job I have ever seen since I became a fan of this program. I've heard the rumors and discussion about Richt being forced to hire an OC that will have full control of the offense. While that idea was appealing to me at first, I have come to the realization that we cannot afford the luxury of allowing Mark Richt to have anything to do with this program. At this point he is a cancer that must be cut out and the sooner the better. I fully understand the financial aspect of such a move but failure to act quickly will just make things worse. Take the hit now or the damage to the program will only take that much longer to undo. There is no way around it. Mark Richt must go and he must go now.

It all starts with the fat boys always have always will .

Till we get attitude snaught shooting DGAF 6’5 plus 330 O-line whom actually do more then eat if not WE LOSE.

We need O-line that trains constantly that takes ownership of there jobs when the seasons over the next morning there waiting at the weight room to open to train along with running and speed training.

THE SEASON NEVER ENDS FOR WINNERS.

Example:

After football, I would run track ( just to practice with then) sprints 100’, 440 , shotput and discus .
Then practiced with Basketball team , wrestling and so on while weight training 6 days a week .

Eat constantly can’t even count during the day , in bed by 8:00 up at 5:00 stretching sit ups push ups and morning run .

EVERYSINGLE DAY .

By Spring camp OMG , Chickillo ( the oldest Chick Nick) and I were IMPOSSIBLE to stop we LOA at practice it was comical to block us .

WE BEAT EVERYONE BEFORE PLAYING AGAINST ANYONE.

THIS IS HOW YOU, WIN

Does our O-line look like there doing this LMAO

NOT

Ever watch Walter Payton’s offseason training video.

He trained most of the time till he vomited in exhaustion, he always had a friend near to carry him to rest.

Walter beat everyone before he played against them.

Imagine asking Walter this.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BREAK YOU

LMAO

I wish you could comfortably and easily add: and "discipline, strength, preparedness, size, and smarts".

Those ideals are hard to coach, as is often the case with "talent". Motivation and reward are now a problem as well. Richt and staff have surely failed; but not clear to me Saban and his top 5 best assistants would work a fast miracle here. Sigh.

Starts at the top of the football house, we can talk about the players not taking this serious will recruit those that do, I do believe most of kids do, this is on the head guy. Team has significantly regressed, why not bring in some help for specials team coach during the off season, we have sucked there three years. We play another season under scholarship limit yet we don’t bring in another punter. I think it’s small things that are all coming there. Kids starting to lose hope.

Nah. I hate to break it to the Dugans stans but our WRs play with bad technique besides run blocking. WRs were much better coached under the previous staff.

Would you say the Duke game was Richt's worse loss, worse lost, worst loss, worst lost, worse, worst, or even worse, or even worst.

That drives me crazy. I honestly don’t understand why it’s so difficult to get correct.

Look.no.further than the defense to see the major problem on offense. Defense takes on attitude and desire of Diaz. The offense has Rights personna

Sorry, but the MAJORITY of the problem is play calling and the overall scheme. There is more than enough talent there not to be losing to VA, BC, and Duke. I couldn't possibly disagree more.

We agree. I never said we didn't have the talent. My point was that the positional coaching on offense has been on a high school level. Yes the scheme is prehistoric garbage and the playcalling is as bad as it gets but these coaches on offense haven't exactly been UM caliber.

I hear you. We need to clean house from the top down. New AD brings in a competent coach and then we start rolling from there. We can't get to steps 3,4 and 5 until those first 2 steps aren't taken.
