As of today. This is a takeover. We can win now if we get the right staff in place. This is different from when Al took over. That is why it needs to be done sooner then later. We have a great freshman class and solid upperclassmen for the new staff to work with. It won't be a complete overhaul.

There are way too many reasons why the job today is much more desirable then 4 years ago.

Pleas don't waste another year of Kaaya's career along with these other talented kids with this staff.

We have newer facilities, mended relationships in the community, and a stadium about to be remodeled.

We need to get Al out ASAP so someon can come in a take it to the next level before we collapse and it will be a complete overhaul and another 5-6 year rebuild!

with a real coach, kirby, mccord, bush, howard, carter, etc are killers. those kids were some of the highest regarded recruits in country.
 
Completely agree. Get it over with now. No need to lose an entire recruiting class while Golden sits and waits for his buyout.
 
Somewhere, there is some smart, young, hungry coach that sees our roster and the possibility of quickly winning big and getting national attention for bringing us back to relevance, merely by putting kids in the right position to win, and then using this job as a spring board to the NFL.

Unfortunately our admin will discard his resume because his ego is too big or some **** and hire Randy Edsall or something instead.
 
Fire him yesterday and get Butch, Chud or Mario here tomorrow morning.
They only need to replace a few assistants and a DC. Lets do this now!

If we make a home run hire (like Butch Davis) then I agree. otherwise we will see an exodus of underclassmen and transfers

What needs rebuilding is the coaching quality and coaching tree. We keep hiring JAG magnets. Making a mistake happens. There are no guarantees. But sticking with it is quite another.

Who will leave just as soon as he gets us winning again. Either a big school or the NFL.

Agree with this emphatically but Thurston is a senior (I had to go look it up too).

That roster should be a top 25 unit.
 
The new coach has one job: convince Duke, Deon, Tracy and the rest of the 2012 guys like Flowers to stay and that he can make them even better by teaching them and using them properly. They do that, and the nucleus of this team is still here. They can win big in year 1, no worse than 10-2, and then roll from there by convincing the 2016 class this is where they should be. Outside of Jaquan and Scarlett and a couple more, the 2015 class isn't special so far.

The rest need to stay and show out in a different style.

That's why coaches get paid the big bucks. Make these kids buy in for one more year. Duke will be much easier because of the RB's in this year's draft. Hurley, Abdullah, Gordon and possibly more. If you get Duke to stay, he can get Flowers to stay.
