This needs to be moved.. Wizards Den?

Who cares.

My Cane brothers. I am proud and saddened to say that my Grandfather is hanging up his cleats in life.

Mind you he is 98. Cancer is taking him, but **** he lived.

For the Canes that love America, you will appreciate his interview. He was /is a 3 war veteran that was a P39 fighter pilot in WWII. He has a very humble but compelling story..

He will be passing in the next 2-4 days. 8Oth squadron.

He is a effing legend, or stud. I will miss him dearly, and our country needs more guys like him.

God bless him and your family. I had an ”effing legend” grandfather as well and when I lost him a few years back in his 90’s, I had similar feelings. I can appreciate the love and pride.

Sadly, the more often these types of men are gone, they are never replaced, and although our country needs more like him, we will never get them. Tell him thanks before he is gone.

He, along with all WWII war fighters, did nothing less than save the world for democracy.

Thank you and rest.

Thanks for his service seems somewhat inadequate. He certainly has earned his rest. Thanks for posting OP. The stories of great men like your Grandfather should never fade away.
