Last year would that not only have been a huge hit talent wise, emotionally it would have really brought the team down. They really relied on Bain for so many big plays. Today, the goes out 1st series, and it didn't effect anything. Mertz would have been worse (if that's possible) and we'd probably have another sack or 2 but otherwise, we lost our best defensive player right off the bat, and it didn't matter. I don't know how this year's gonna turn out but it's definitely different.
