So watching some old canes games and man our special teams always PLAYED HUGE in our title runs. Just thinking of a few things we need to change or get better at from last year.

#1. We need Realus George to be big in our goal line situation with the run game. Last year was painful inside the 10. The kid looks nasty and hopefully that will help.

#2. Need to stay healthy on DL, we have some studs but depth is not as deep at DT.

#3. God **** they need to call holding calls against other teams when we are on D.

#4. Malik Rosier just needs to manage a game, he doesn’t need flash just needs to be smart and not make mistakes. He has to many weapons to fail, be smart.

#5. Special Teams- we need some returns for TDS on Punt and KO returns. Can’t companore early 2000 teams to this one, but we used to run back kids every game. We have fast game changers but they need to step up. We actually really disappointed with Jeff thomas at KOs last year, seemed like his speed decreased and didn’t find holes well.

Also OL but anyone else have any thoughts or concerns that keep you up at night?

Last year we couldn’t afford Walton, any of our TEs or Richards to get hurt and they all went down.

Lol I was just on Youtube watching our teams from the early 2000's and I fully agree. Pretty amazing how we dominated all 3 phases of the game being offense, defense and special teams.Hope Hartley have them #raiders ready to play this season because I wanna see Jeff thomas get loose!

Biggest difference imo b/w some of our early teams and what we have now is that grit in the trenches. Them boys were bullies on both side of the ball and they dominated!!
 
Id like to see someone else return kicks. I don't think JT4 is our guy. As someone eluded too he doesn't hit holes and doesn't look explosive returning kicks. Maybe someone like Bethel, Pope, or someone else. I would saw Lingawd, but not sure he has the natural vision to see the return before it unfolds and hit the right creases, but i'd give him a shot too.
 
1) #3 Holding calls. Just... like... once?
2) #5 Special teams. Been saying forever Canes special teams have been horrible for a very long time.
3) Why is it every time, that I pick my nose, the boogers come right back?

Doesn't really matter who you put back there.....without much better blocking they're going nowhere.

Our ST blockers should be out there like relentless, heat seeking missiles searching for someone to hit, over and over again .....instead of spectators enjoying the view

100% agree. I saw too many of our blockers letting gunners slide by them last year.
