They played their best game. We didn't.

4th and 2 from their 40 with 45 seconds to go in the 1H and we didn't go for it.

4th and 5 from our 15 with 9 minutes to go in the 2H and they decide to go for it.

IU coach with a good feel for the game and Cristobal with a poor one.

Outside zone runs working and yet Dawson insisted on running dive plays up the middle.

Tempo offense worked and yet we went to it too late.

Dawson with a poor feel for the game and Shanahan on the other side called up plays perfectly.

A few bail outs from the refs. Limited ceiling play from Beck. Outcoached by HC and OC.

Game over. Indiana seemed like the team of destiny with how things played out.

Neither team played their best game. In the end, they made just a couple more plays/less mistakes than we did.

Dawson's entire first half was putrid.

The missed FG stung.

Allowing a blocked punt when they were in punt safe was the back breaker.

Beck's placement on the final throw wasn't it.

Awesome season. I will forever cherish this team. Tonight hurts. I'm already anxious to see what we put out on the field in August.

That pass was never on. You could push it wide outside and deep but it was against double coverage. Never worth the risk and we had all the time in the world to work the clock and field position.

For him to throw into double coverage under no pressure like that was a pretty big tell of what his ceiling is.

I am trying to remember any other QB in a championship type game that had all time time in the world in the pocket, no under duress, and throws a game sealing INT.

Now I’ve seen QBs make that kind of mistake with pressure in their face- but knowing the situation , being able to scan the field D,
And then throwing the ball into double coverage like that - I can’t remember seeing something similar. Every qb has had it drilled into him you can’t take a sack of throw a pick there.
