The UNC game will be the most telling....

yeah, I know Miami has two more games before that, but with the process of working in the younger QB's(ABR - Anybody But Rosier) beginning this week, it's clear to me that the Thursday night game at home vs UNC on the 27th, whoever is starting at QB - will be the guy who starts the next week at home vs FSU.

And if Rosier isn't unseated by then, well, yeah....

So in essence, Richt has about two weeks to figure this out to get this season on track in the first half. Seriously, I can't recall this much fan angst over the QB situation during the regular season. I remember in 93 Frank Costa getting benched after losing to FSU(when I dont think he played all that badly vs the best team in the country) and Ryan Collins had a run and by the end of the next season, Erickson went back to Costa.

In 1999, by the end of the year it was clear that Butch Davis understood that Ken Dorsey should be the guy leading the offense and not a part-time QB/shortstop.

I don't care if Rosier piles up stats vs these lesser teams(he did that last season), the past 4 games is really what he is. That's the reality.

Just canvassing the opinion of a lot of die-hards(that travel to multiple games) and some former players, at the very least they want one of the young guys broken in, if not Rosier flat out benched. I really do believe that Richt is in danger of losing not only a good segment of the fan-base but the lockerroom. Guys flat out don't want to play with him, he stifles the whole offense and deflates the whole team. And looking really big picture, if you don't at least start truly grooming the next QB, well, then next year you start off with a rookie behind center.

There is no future with Rosier.

In fact, there really might not be a present with him

This coach is done for K9 hes not winning a title here fam, I mean I know its super early in year 3 to shout get rid of a coach but in your heart u know this guy wont get it done. All u have to see is the play calling, the ownage on national signing day every season and the tell tale sign r there. Im off the boat as far as believing this staff will get this team back to elite company and Im already ready to move on. Im done I have seen this movie before with the last staff and Im done, I will watch and root for my Canes but no hope for a dominant UM program with these guys running the show.

And its good look u brought up the locker room because we "mopers" called it, u saw when Malik scored Sunday night no one sat next to him. Malik lost the team and Richt will too soon.
 
See , K9, don't make me bump my summer post. where I clearly stated the UNC game would be a tough out for us based upon all of their returning experience too.

i was laughed at. so we shall see.

They dont play Cal every year bro. 1st game too.

They're going to look like a different animal vs us because they know us and clearly think its a rivalry game
 
Yeah. Let us pray one of the young guns can do enough in the next three weeks to prove UNC needs to be the start of a new era at QB. I’d love to see a real chance at a QB change over the next three games. And, if Malware plays, he continues his poor performance. Rosier opening the SSU game with a 4 TD first quarter performance with only give Rrecked a reason to maintain the status quo.

But two historical comments.

The 29-0 Fiesta Bowl loss to Arizona (worse IMO than the Peach Bowl to LSU) at the end of 1993 proved the Costa/Collins duo was a two-headed failure. That was some great QB recruiting. They made Clement/Covington look like Kosar/Testaverde.

Dorsey started the last few games of 1999 because Kenny Kelly was injured. Dorsey played great against really bad teams but did enough warrant splitting time with Kelly in Gator Bowl. Dorsey ran Kelly off, I think. Had Kelly not been injured against VT who knows what would changed?

D, hate to see former good fans deserting the team, players, coaches, but it is what it is. Maybe by year end, you be wanting back on board. Season got to play out.

Dude I know we going to win all these games, thing is I want us to fix the recruiting mess that we are currently in (which leads me to believe these guys cant hack it because if u cant recruit defense and protect home u ****ed) I just know that they wont win big the red flags have been glaring and waving at us for a good while, we know it we see it (some of us) and we want no part of going through this again.
 
Given that Ive already booked travel and have club level 50 yard line seats (on the aisle) for the UNC game, Im even more excited about it now. :****sure:
