The Virginia game was a disaster. There are reoccurring coaching issues. At the same time, we got a young talent in N'Kosi that may not be ready just yet. He's accurate and not ready. That's normal. So there's a lot of things to discuss including N'Kosi, but I am going to post a simple comparison regarding the coaches. Feedback is welcome. Here's what I observed.
Offense Coached by Richt and Co:
Erratic, immature, playing bad football, same **** different day, always starting slow and always under prepared.
Defense Coached by Manny and Co:
Confident, poised, not perfect, but **** good. Always prepared. Always hungry. Always making plays barring LSU and last seconds of UVA.
The results are undeniable and unfortunately for everyone especially the head coach he's in the same predicament Al Golden was. We all saw the defense wasn't working under AG for years. However, Al's loyalty to his friend was greater than his loyalty to his job or the UM community.
There are two different coaching lines here with equally different outcomes between the current offense and defensive staff. There are huge problems that need to be addressed and it is not all on the players. If you want to blame it on the players understand the coaches chose them and train them up.
I don't believe CR will turn over staff which means the coaches will do the same things and get the same outcomes. Which probably means a BC debacle. I hate to say it.
Life lesson for us all - stubbornness can be a virtue. But in this case, it may be a curse. Coach Richt has no choice. If he loses in BC and this season turns to **** - then Georgia was right all along. Because of his age it could be make or break.
Loyalty family is required. But also be loyal to the people providing you wage to do a job. That job is win.
Shut the **** up about starting QBs or locker room feuds or "ignoring the noise". Just f***ing win.
