The truth about the lies

Lie: we are 4 or 5 plays away from being 6-1 or 7-0.
Truth: we gave up 21 and 28 points to start games against UNC and VaTech.

Lie: too much going right to give up now.
Truth: plenty going wrong. No reason to give up but you dont need to say this about teams that have not given up.

Lie: Ragone didn't hurt us out there.
Truth: he did and it isn't his fault. Manny should have told McCloud if anyone one goes down you are next up no matter what.

Lie: learning how to win.
Truth: you score more points then the other team to win. 5 year old kids know this.

Lie: I have full confidence in Manny.
Truth: I'm ****ed.

Lie: players' fault.
Truth: everyone's fault.

Lie: All we needed was a true offense
Truth: All we need is to fire blake james and get a competent AD and head coach. This one burns me because blake james bought into this bull****.

Lie: kicker cost us the games.
Truth: We would have 1 more win only, for sure, if the kicker hit a field goal. you can never know with time left in the 4th.

I am sure we can think of more.

Lie: this was an insightful post.

aren't you a part of this fan base?
so are you also bar none the trashiest fan?

Oh geez. Logic is not your strong suit, huh?

The characteristics of a group are not indicative of the characteristics of every individual in that group.

they are all idiots. you dont learn how to win. learning how to win means after you win you dont go crazy and plant a flag like baker mayfield.

Wrong.

Learning how to win is learning how to close out games in the fourth quarter, or to put games away earlier when you have a chance—as well as learning how to bounce back from disappointing losses. Used to be back in the day, the last time in the world anyone wanted to play was a ****ed off Miami team coming off a loss. That hasn't been the case in almost two decades.

Outside that lucky-bounce, aberration of a 2017 season—where 10-0 could've just as easily have been 6-4—Miami has wilted in big moments for well over a decade.

Down fast to North Carolina and Virginia Tech; defense holds, offense plays catch-up and Miami takes late leads—only to step down in a huge step-up moment where it could've held strong and closed out both with defensive stands.

Canes have dropped 13 of 23 since that 2017 loss at Pittsburgh; hence why this Miami team has to learn how to close and win—giving away way too many winnable games with either slow starts, or unraveling late.

This is great! Good job.

Learning to win is an actual thing, you have to learn how to finish games, the most natural thing for a human being to do become relaxed in certain situations where in reality in those situations is when your attention should be at its highest

“When you’re up attention, when you’re down, correction”

80% of the fanbase bought into this one and heaven help you if you disagreed this off season and posted here on CIS.

Lie: I am benefitting from reading opinions on CIS

Truth: it increasingly feels like every pro-manny post is written by someone who works for the athletic dept, and any anti-manny post is written by a troll

I remember back in the days our Special Teams and Defense could win us the game if our offense didn't have it going. Random thought
Schnelly used to emphasize just that. He said there will be some games your offense will be off, so your defense had to keep us in it.
