...is that even IF Manny ends up being good here, it will have nothing to do with him. He was prepared to allow Richt to continue to destroy our program with no hope in sight and then made quite possibly the laziest move by an AD that I've ever seen.

Please remember, James was prepared to talk with Right about continuing on as our HC with no intention of letting him go and then when Richt couldn't do it, he changed his mind to thinking that Mark could lead us to glory into immediately thinking what would be a quick and easy move for him, which was hiring Manny.

Look, I like Manny and I think that Manny really could end up being good for us, but ONLY if he is willing to continue being cutthroat this coming offseason and make the necessary hirings and firings so we can get this ship turned around.

Mark already stated he wasn't firing his son and Searles or himself as OC. As bad as it is now, it would be even worse if Mark had stayed.

I dont think he had to, but demote him yes. And what did that get Richt's son? he's coaching HS QBs now, when he could be learning concepts that work from Yost or Helfrich, etc.

He should have been brought in as a GA. Once he was a coach, a demotion is no different then being fired.
