The taste of success makes it so unpalatable

In 2017 we were rocking. Game day was here. We were undefeated. Then it happened. We smashed ND in the face and had the biggest win in the last 15 years. We were back. It had taken a decade and a half but boy were we back.

It wouldnt last past a week. First a loss to Pitt then a debacle against Clemson and a rollover by Wisconsin.

The next year was the worst since the mid 1990s. It was horrid.

We thought the worst was over. The problem is it seems as if it may not be. From mountain top to laughing stock really quick.

The frustration is strong. Many of us fear another long drought before we get back to the place we were even in 2017. I'm glad I enjoyed it. I soaked it up. But how long will we have to wait for consistency at even that level? The fear is strong in our fan base. It should be. History isn't in our favor.

But I am a fan. So I will have no choice but to remain. Waiting and waiting. This year my expectations are now low. I am accepting reality. We stink.

Go pop a Midol. It will be ok.

Since I was born in 2001, I never got to experience the great Miami Hurricanes teams. I have been waiting all my life for a successful season.

Yeah, that just about sums it up. The 10-0 run in 2017 was the only time things have felt right in a long, long time. And now 2017 feels like a decade ago.

as long as Miami has the current admin with its zero commitment to a championship football program and the worthless AD we have --- aint nuthin happening Amigo ... sorry but thats facts.

what happened with Mork coaching in 2017 was this ---
fools-gold (1).webp

Anyway, 2018 wasn’t as bad as Shannon’s 2007 team. Or even close really.
