Ever since the new staff got here, especially Manuelito, i keep hearing all this constant talk about upholding the standard. The standard this the standard that.
Anyone that ever served may or may not have heard the following: THE STANDARD IS NOT WHAT YOU SAY. THE STANDARD IS WHAT YOU ACCEPT.
The U is accepting that a man has to simplify an offense cause our qb can’t run it.
We are Accepting that extremely talented young players can’t see the field because we have older less talented players.
We are accepting that very talented players play less snaps for a high substitution rate while being replaced by less talented players.
We are accepting that a qb said he can’t complete a pass because his receiver is to fast. I guess randy moss was slow.
The standard must be kept high. A player who can not continue to play and put
effort regardlesss of age because because he is passed over by another player regardless of age is not upholding he standard.
Chioc Gray has not transferred, has not been rumored to transfer and has upheld the standard despite being passed over every year. He’s working out, following,the diet, motivating players making other accountable to the standard.
“Hey freshaman your starting on Saturday. We know you haven’t gotten many reps with the ones and your gonna be nervous. But this the U and that’s why you come here. So sack up and cowboy up and go call your parents and tell them the good news that your getting the chance to go uphold the standard”
