Which College Coaches Have Produced the Most NFL Draft Picks? | AthlonSports.com

Even though Butch is inactive, he would still be top 10 in producing NFL draft picks; something Nick Saban is using heavily to recruit top athletes and build his legacy with. If you add the draft picks that are credited to Larry Coker and the ones Butch recruited to UNC, he would be well over 100 draft picks and would double Saban in first rounders.

The people who control the narrative deal in biased analytics and statistics to impress their agenda. They want you to believe the SEC/Saban are superior but they can't justify their falsified perspective with teams like Miami and coaches like Butch disrupting the 'program'.

But make no mistake about it, THEY are excessively adept at using the power of propaganda (ie Mario) and we all are affected by it.

This is why I want Butch. I know with absolute certainty that he will stack talent on top of talent on top of talent. And he'll coach em up too. It might not be 01 Canes good but I can all but guarantee he'll build a roster that can win a national championship. Will he? I don't know, but we sure as **** won't be in the posistion we are now.
 
How do they account for this? If it is the number of NFL players coached as a head coach (as opposed to he is the HC when they are drafted), I think Butch has produced about 85 NFL draft picks in his career. That would put him ahead of Saban for his career, though Saban has been a college head coach for 20 seasons and Butch has been a college head coach for only 10 total seasons.

In other words, Butch is twice as good at putting kids in the NFL as Saban.
 
I've said this before, would hiring Butch be a risk since he's been out of coaching for 5 years? Absolutely....but he is by far the SAFEST risk that we have. Herman, while I do love him, by all accounts is not only a pipe dream, but he's an unknown risk. Fuentes is struggling w/ def in the AAC...imagine when the competition gets better. Gundy, is a pipe dream....so is Patterson. Mario and Strong would derail the program on epic proportion. Golden has already set the clock back to the 70's....hiring those two bums would set the clock back to the 50's and 60's.

Butch builds teams, period. While Rivals may rank a kid 2 star, Butch turns him into an All American. He's got some game day coaching issues, sure....but I'll take a couple of first/second year hiccups while we're progressing to bullies on the boulevard over a potential dumpster fire hire.

Bunting, Fedora, Shannon, and Golden all managed to win 5 ACC games in a season at least once. With all those draft picks, why couldn't Butch Davis Da Gawd do that?
 
They are scared the Miami football program will out shadow it's prestige of academics if we go back to being how Miami is supposed to be...

I mean, I guess you could leave out the part where butch went 11-1, 7-0 in his conference, a win over #1 and #2 team in the country, and screwed out of a NC appearance in Miami. UNC is not Miami, different team, different assistant pool to choose from, different base of talent....Majority of that UNC team was ofcourse from North Carolina, you can ignore depth all you want but we all know what players sat on the bench in 2001.

Also, a large majority of the draft picks that came was from the same team that went 11-1, not the previous teams.

You're UNC should NOT hire Butch-- he was not very good there. The University of Miami SHOULD hire Butch because he was outstanding.
