...despite a large body of evidence both in Athens and here, do we believe that Mark will eventually win a NC? If each member can look themselves in the mirror and think, "Forget old school protocol (assuming such a thing still exists) I actually do think, based on all of the evidence, that Mark WILL eventually win a NC here, even if it takes 2 more extensions and 7 more years, that Mark will win a NC. That there is a hidden method buried within his madness and he's had some unlucky breaks, but he will win a NC here in Miami."
If they can't look at themselves honestly and make this statement. then what the **** are we doing here? No more vitriol, no more emotional complaining from us fans. Sincerely. If the plan is not to win a NC and just win 8-9 games a year, I'm not convinced that's on the table either, but they need to at least be honest about it. As we spend countless dollars on travel, tickets, hotels, stadium seats, merchandise, etc., I highly doubt that there's more than 1 percent of us who's doing this because we're comfortable being relegated to a guaranteed position of ineptitude
We spend all of the money and time and energy because we cling to the thought that we'll eventually win the NC again. As de facto "shareholders" they either need to level with us with transparency and honesty and frame program expectations going forward, or they each need to man up and make "difficult decisions" because that's what they are in their positions to do.
No more games, UM leadership. Either shape our expectations that this is just the way it is at UM going forward, or make drastic changes. Appeal to Mark's integrity and compensate him and his family so we're not strapped with a total buy out, but Mark is compensated for trying. Also, repay his $1mm contribution, and let him decide if he wants to keep that money in his alma mater.
Time is now. Decide and then let us, your de facto "shareholders" know what it is that we are doing collectively regarding this team that we are so passionate about.
