Now that we have moved on from Rosier to Perry, what I would really like to see come back into our offense is a consistent passing attack. With Rosier, his lack of accuracy gave our offense a feast or famine quality as the passing game was severely inconsistent and disjointed.

Now that we have a capable and accurate passer in Perry I am excited to see us use the entire field and consistently put together length of the field drives without necessarily having to rely on the big play. With Homer and Dallas toting the rock and the embarrassment of riches we have at WR/TE, there is no excuse for us to have so many 3 and outs. We will still be capable of being a quick strike offense and the big play should always be part of a Miami offense but it will be nice to see some consistency for a change.

Richt needs to do a better job on 1st down in terms of his predictability. I would like to see more 1st down passes and the offense opened up a bit more. He needs to quit over protecting Perry and turn him loose. Richt puts too much thought into worrying about turnovers that should be used attacking the oppositions weaknesses. This is my one concern. That Richt's fear of turnovers ends up putting an artificial ceiling on our offense......And let's see that shallow cross offense I heard so much about when he got hired. That's all I've got. Discuss.

I think that you answered your own question. With Perry, we should be seeing a more consistent passing attack. An effective passing attack will then open up all sorts of cool offensive plays.
