Our assistant coaches are GARBAGE.

Butch had Schiano, Pagano, Chud, and Moffit.

Golden has an OC who never called plays at FSU, his roommate from college calling defense, an S&C coach who has a bachelors degree in knitting, and a bunch of high school "recruiters" coaching positions.

Butch had THREE future NFL HC's on staff. Golden has exactly ZERO.


BOT needs to spend money on a HC, but also spend on a great STAFF.

Butch not only finds talent in players, he finds talent in coaches. I think he had one, single mistake. But he fixed that pronto.
 
Butch made changes when it was necessary. He would not allow a bad coach stay on the staff.
 
The other other other problem is that we have too many problems. Too many targets dilutes the attack on the main culprit, the BOT.

It's not really a problem - just makes the transition from the old coach to the new easier.

They'll all get fired - there won't be any lingering hangover of the old staff.
