Is that we can't even fire those responsible for the abysmal contract extension that led us here.

Let me backtrack:

Miami is not firing Golden now, and didn't after last season, not b/c they are cheap, but because they could owe over 5 million dollars to this clown. Typical buyout figures are in the 5-10 mil range, and since golden has FOUR MORE YEARS you can assume it's that high.

The problem is, our former AD and former president allowed Miami to sign a contract that we couldn't afford. Miami can afford elite coaches, but can't afford to pay an elite coach while also paying 2 million a year to a former coach.

But Shalala and Eichorst are long gone, and we can't get vengeance for this GROSS recklessness. Signing a 42 year old unproven coach who came off a 7 win season in his first season in 2011 to an extension through 2019 is one of the most irresponsible moves in recent sports history.

THAT is why we are in this situation, and we can't punish those responsible.

stop with the excuses. any program that cared about their football program wouldn't allow this to happen.

Not even. He only won 6 games, and the extension was announced while we were losing at home to a ****-*** Boston College team.

New deal with Adidas, ACC revenue share, half a billion in endowments. Yet the school is broke plz. Stop funneling that money into U Health and you could see some considerable changes in the athletic department.

That's my entire point. Miami's standard operating procedure is to let football run without extra investment.

So either they completely change how they invest in the program, or we are going to end up with another **** hire, or worse another year of waiting it out with Al.
