Stumbled upon this documentary on Amazon Prime recently. It's a shame the way that Houston Nutt was railroaded.

I lived in Northwest Arkansas during the Mitch Mustain years - I was actually at that Shreveport Evangel game you see around the 1:05 mark. It was an electric environment up there with talk radio and the newspapers and TV stations all going nuts with rumors and wild accusations. The state hadn't really ever seen anything like the 2005 Springdale Bulldogs (some great LR Central teams prior, but not quite the same...) - at least not in recent history - and were convinced that 2005 SHS team was the best in the country. There's a great book on this titled "Year of the Dog" - gives awesome insight and has quotes from Gus Malzahn who coached that team and how highly they thought of the group. (For the record, I don't think they were the best team I saw in 2005, let alone ever.... 2005 Southlake Carroll was better for starters). The recruiting cycles for those guys was really wild.

I'll have to watch this later, thanks for the heads up!
