This team is succeeding behind a few freshmen (James Palmer averages 7.5 points in 20.7 minutes, Sherman averages 6.7 points and 4.5 rebounds in 19.5 minutes, and Ja'Quan Newton averages 4.5 points in 14.5 minutes)

I love James Palmer's game. Seems to do a little of everything. Based on their early success this might well end up one of the best classes in the history of the program if Uceda pans out as well. It's real early though.

Newton was a huge prospect, the other two are fabulous finds. Laranaga is such a good coach.

Newton needs to learn how to play under control, which he will, because he's a freshman, and he has G-D coaching him.

According to the player profiles on Hurricane Sports, Palmer was deemed by espn to be the best player in the D.C. area, and Sherman was a four-star recruit ranked as the 94th best recruit in the country, so they were pretty well thought of by the recruiting services.

Sherman didn't have a great game yesterday but I am dating myself but he reminds me a lot of Sam Perkins
