So what do you think the primary reason(s) are for the kids decommiting? We had a pretty **** good recruiting class last year and so far this year looks abhorrent. A few things come to mind. 1. The uncertainty of the QB situation. It seemed like Richt had no real clue as to who the starter should be. He kept shuffling Perry and Rozier line he was just throwing something at the wall and hoping one would get a hot hand. 2. The lack of QB development. Rozier seemed to regress instead of showing any signs of progress, and Perry really didn't display any flashes of brilliance either. Again, possibly due to the constant rotation or just simply the inability of John Richt to develop a QB. 3. The offensive scheme, or lack thereof. 4. Consecutive losses to Virginia, BC, Duke & GT. 5. Manny leaving.

They aimed high, When the plan a fell through there was no plan b. We only offered 154 recruits, Fsu offered 217 and Florida was in the 3s. They put there eggs in the wrong basket. Example were the 2 from Lakeland, Which has always been a Gator pipeline. Should have offered more oos kids and expanded the umbrella. You live hopefully you learn. We still probably end up with 20 or so recruits .

I think teams are negative recruiting saying Richt is gone after next season why go there? Why go somewhere where he won’t be there ... just saying what could be a possibility

Makes sense. I could see that happening. Hopefully they're correct.

We need to recruit the guys that already have big time offers. we always get spurned when we are the only big program recruiting the guys and then other schools come along. You can have a better idea of who has legit interest when they already have big time offers.

I think they are negatively selling thee Deacons antique offense as much as anything else.

Yeah, it all stems from him, but like I said last year we had a top 10 recruiting class and he recruited pretty well at Georgia. I'm just trying to figure out how things went so completely sideways in a matter of a year.
Simply put, the chit show of an offense this season on the heels of a mediocre and inconsistent effort on offense last season. His refusal and stubbornness to make appropriate staff changes. Age: lets face it, Richt is not the most fit 60 year old and it appears that father time is hampering his mojo. I honestly think Richt might be on anti-depressants that hamper your energy level, which is common for most folks at this age in society today, but I don't want to speculate further out of respect. Recruits pick up on that, he doesn't motivate kids theses days. Lastly, the man is stubborn

Probably true. Especially if people read any of these message boards. Or listen to the radio. Or see banners flying over the stadium. Plenty of places recruits could get that idea.....

None of the above. Even with all that going on we should still be able to sign a top 30 class. Something is internally very wrong and whatever it is it has kids running for the hills.

You guys beating a dead horse. Fact is that this program has fallen to a new level. 16 years of futility that has reached rock bottom this year. It is well known at all major high schools in the country that the U is a dumpster fire. High school coaches and players families advising the kids not to sign with us. When Richt is gone you can be assured that his replacement will not turn this program around. We have dug too deep of a hole and what you see now is what you will see in many future years.

Nope, they are showing them our games and telling them Richt WILL be here after next year.

Our record is like 8-7 over the last 15 games. I think that might be the problem.

Well I never seen anyone running to a burning house! This program is burning down! So it’s expected that anyone with good sense would run the other way!
