Last night's team cannot show up in Berkley!!!

Whatever they need to do to get kid's heads screwed on straight they need to do, because that Cal game has ALL of the earmarks of a trap game.

And, now, Cal knows we can't run effectively and aren't committed to the run.

Keys for us:

• Commit to the run early, even if it costs us a drive or two.
• Hopefully, Bain comes back. Apparently it turns out we DO need him to win ACC games.
• If Bell can't get it done, then try someone else. True, the VT DE is the best we'll see all year - including the playoffs - but still, we gotta shore up the OL which was supposed to be our biggest strength.
• Keep our composure on the road. Wouldn't be surprised at all if we get down early on a fluke play, and if that happens, we gotta keep our composure.
• We need a renewed emphasis on not holding and overall penalties.

Unlike last years, we actually have the horses to seriously compete in the playoffs, so this will largely fall on the shoulders of our coordinators, who both got out-coached last night. I like both of them and until proven otherwise, will believe that they will make the necessary adjustments to put our players in position to succeed.
