Was losing 37-34. With King out, Canes could have folded and instead they battled. Outside of the fumble Perry was magnificent throwing missiles all over the place. The refs screwed the heck out of us in that drive where Couch got 3 BS penalties. So why is this the best possible outcome ( assuming King is all right of course0?
Because it Means Diaz does NOT reach 9 wins. It means Baker's defense ALLOWED 37 points. It puts pressure on Diaz to make major changes on the defense and more importantly not get a 3 or 4 year year contract extension from our spineless board of directors. We need a new defense and this might have done the trick. Hopefully this means bye Baker, Bye Rumph at a MINIMUM... ( PATKE needs to GTFOH as well) but with those two it's a great start.
