The ACC is really embarrassing - and winnable

VT, UVA, GT all lost, the latter two to non AQ foes. Our division at least is very winnable. Our title game hopes probably rest on the VT game, which is at home. To clarify, I dont think we are there YET, we will know more after ND, but its clear that that ACC sucks.

Yep. GT, UVA, UNC, VT and Duke are bottom feeders in any other conference. This is the weakest I have ever seen the Coastal, and it has always been weak.

No reason whatsoever to lose to UNC, UVA. That makes it a two game season. FSU will be very tough, but VT? No QB, no offense, no nada. We can beat those clowns.

I disagree with this part, we already know IMO, Miami can take anyone in the Coastal, only thing ND will tell us is if they a top 15 team or not.
I want to beat ND badly, but I refuse to gauge the season on games that don't have an effect on the ACC race. They're just for style points.
 
4Canes, I think we are saying the same thing. The Coastal division is winnable, because every other team is either bad or certainly beatable, not because we are that good yet. The comment on ND was more that we would see how good we really are.

We are not a top 15 team. We aren't a top 25 team. We have to have the worst Defense in all of football. Shouldn't even think about the polls.

We have a puncher's chance against anyone with our offense and special teams. Well, until Weiclaw became Andy Crosland's lost son. But we still have a puncher's chance against anyone out there save Bama.

You do realize that rankings are based on wins and losses not statistical rankings?
 
So by that logic WVU and Clemson shouldn't be ranked cause their Ds are garbage as well

I think we may matchup well vs their defense. we can play shotgun 4 wide and toss it around. we will probably spread them out.

I have ZERO faith in our defense though I think I'd rather have the black kid QB play us rather than the other one. he is not a good passer at this point and our defense may not let him go full ******

gonna have to win a shootout probably

Did you see the score of the wv vs baylor game! Everyone thinks WVU is legit and anyone on this board could've made the passes Geno made!!! No way Miami's D is worse than Baylor's or WVU for that matter and they were both ranked! I don't care what their stats, they haven't played anyone!

We can beat VaTech. Let's just win the division for the first time since we joined the conference.

yet WVU and their suffocating 106th ranked defense have no problem being a top 10 team.
 
The coastal is winnable, but let's not discount VT. This is a typical VT season. Lose early OOC and then rally around winning the ACC.
