The 2 best skill players on D

I finally think we have a great shot at matching the athleticism of offenses this season. Our striker position in the past limited our 2 best instinctive athletes to sub each other out. Now having Smith at will and Gil at striker allows us to have 2 of who I think are the best defensive football players on the field at the same time. They also add tangible energy to our defense. Hopefully it's contagious.

Granted we rotate a ton but when its crunch time these 2 provide us with the best chance to make plays at key positions.

I hope KSmith doesnt get to the point that he becomes overrated because we are putting alot of hype on this kid right now. Would love for him to just ease his way into that LB spot and not have crazy expectations from the fanbase to be a stud out the gate and when it doesnt happen we do what fans always do and throw him in the trash.
