First for getting the indoor practice facility we needed so badly, second for bringing in some very talented recruits, and third for making a tough decision and retiring. We here know you are a good man of high quality and respect you for this decision. May God bless you and your family and may you enjoy your retirement.

Thanks cmr happy you came here wish it could have been sooner but just wasn’t meant to be

I hated a lot of the sHT this guy did and I let it be known I thought he was only here to stroke his ego.

His walking away and not holding the University hostage for millions puts him up there as a hero in my book. The guy stood up for his son and his coaches and was willing to walk away rather than change. For this I applaude the man.

His generosity ( and this can only be called generosity) to his alma mater gives us a chance moneywise to hire a coach we might not necessarily be able to hire.Lets hope they don’t take this money and ***** up this chance to make a great hire.

Thank You Mark Richt.Enjoy your retirement.

The man apparently walked away with no buyout. Talking about passing up $10-20M potentially to do the "right" thing for UM and not fck us financially like every other coach or person would. Respect
This right here is mind blowing. All Cane - right there.

This. What an unbelievable final act by CMR. COuld have stuck here, rotted our program for 2 more years and forced a buyout. Instead, he swallows his pride, resigns, and walks away without a penny so we can pay more for the next coach. This after dropping a mil of his own coin for the IPF. The guy is all class, and deserves all of our respect now even though he wasn't successful on the football field.

It was a stand up act what he did. I appreciate everything he did for the University. I wished things would have worked out better for him.

I say Richt for AD. He doesn’t know offense, but he knows what is best for the U. Stepped down left money on the table for buyouts
