Mark Richt,

Thank you, although for just a brief moment, making our program nationally relevant again.

Thank you, for changing the stigma of our players as they improved in the classroom and in the community.

Thank you, for the Turnover Chain, which even though wasn’t your idea, you welcomed with open arms.

Thank you, for retiring and not putting your alma mater in a financial chokehold for the next four years.

I know this didn’t turn out how any of us intended or hoped, but you’re a great person and will always be a Cane.

Thank you.

All of this.... his decision to exit was an obvious and honest call. The bottom line is he didn’t have the stomach to make the needed changes. Instead of fighting it, he stepped down. It was the right call for all involved... respect

Love ya Coach. Sucks it had to end this way. But I respect you for knowing what was best. Here's to you doing great things outside of football.

Not happy with the state of the program but respect for the man and off the field, what he has done for the program!!!!!

Nothing but love for Coach Richt. He knew it was time and didn't F us over in the process. He loves the U as much as we do so for that I'm thankful. Now bring us a coach that gets more out of less and can take us to the promised land!

Best possible outcome for this situation and he can still save his reputation. We are in a MUCH better place than when Golden left.

THIS THIS AND THIS.

Hated him

This says a lot more about you than it does CMR.
  • Two straight victories (and ended a 7-year losing streak) over our blood rivals from Trailerhassee
  • Put together a 15-game winning streak
  • Got the Canes to No. 2 in AP poll and back in the national CFB conversation
  • Kicked the **** outta Notre Dame at JRS
  • Blasted No. 14 WVU in the Orlando Bowl
  • Gave $1M of his own money to build a much-needed IPF
  • Retired gracefully (maybe you should look up the definition of that word)
The pure stupidity of "hating" a True Cane who's done so much for our favorite team can't be overstated.
