Really. YouTube, as the OP’s “gawd“ also has some Miami horror shows - and this was back when Miami was fast, angry and physical. It’s easy to watch these videos but not still not grasp contextually how good/bad something is/was.
10 years prior to that was a Miami team where many of the assistants (Lubick, Orgeron. Tuberville) would go on to get HC jobs, some even in the pros. The team was STACKED with talent yet they got their asses WHIPPED in a few games. The 1990 Miami Hurricanes got STOMPED by BYU (the score didn’t reflect how bad Miami played; don’t believe me?
https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-xpm-1990-09-09-9003160050-story.html) and then was nearly beaten by Dan McGuire (brother of baseball player, Mark) and SanDiego State. Again, beaten on the field except the score (don’t believe me?

I only bring it up because we have posters trying to rewrite Hurricane history, This doesn’t compare that Miami to the current ****show Manny is trotting out weekly but the Canes were still Canes. They danced they talked **** and if they had a Turnover Chain they would’ve worn it out out of the Tunnel. How do we know? That team capped off the season with the famous demolition of the Longhorns at the Cotton Bowl where Randall Hill ran back into the tunnel.
Another thing: Miami was ranked #1 preseason (after winning #3 the year prior) when they lost to BYU in that first game. Miami would go 12-0 to win #4 in 1991. I’d post the 1990 game but
@caneinorlando would surely hunt me down.
Talent is an issue, but it isn’t Miami’s issue right now.
