Texas Tech commit Jalen Brewster announced Thursday morning via On3 that he will be taking official visits to Miami, despite being committed to the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Johnson has been pledged to Texas Tech since October 4, but that hasn’t slowed interest from several programs around the country.

While Texas Tech remains firmly in the picture, Jalen still holds an impressive offer sheet that includes Miami, Texas Tech, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas, Oregon, Indiana, and many more.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Jalen is ranked as the No. 4 overall prospect in the nation and the No. 1 defensive lineman in the 2027 class. He also checks in as the No. 2 player in the state of Texas. Jalen measures in at 6-foot-3, 302 pounds.

On the field, Brewster comes by way of Cedar Hill High School, where he put together a productive season.

Johnson remains committed to Texas Tech for now, but with an official visit set to Miami, his recruitment is one to monitor closely as the process moves forward.

We need two studs DT and 1 or two Ol studs every year

When you say “stud” do you mean 5*? If so, I’m not sure many schools can afford that haul in this era of NIL. I would be satisfied with getting one 5* DT and one 5* OL per cycle then let my elite evaluations do the rest. For example, Brewster and Matthews (if you get both) are gonna absolutely put a dent in the NIL budget as they should. Now imagine hypothetically adding Jacobs down the line. lol.

He must have meant DL.
One end and one DT, whether that's five star, you have to have two hits on the DL a year.
One hit a year on OL I don't know that'll make it.
I'd aim for one 1st round type and another top 4 round grade a year.
That's five players on the OL and you certainly need depth on both Lines.

I mean someone who can contribute in a big way . We had a few 4 star kids who are studs . I consider Stancil a stud , imo he comes and plays right away . We need two his level and one or two ol . Yes I’ll be happy with a 5 star kid on both sides of the ball every year and add another 4 star

Stencil is a stud, he's top 10 at his position, and a top 100 player in the nation
