I don't think there is any way that Temple is getting $4M from Manny/Miami.

I actually think part of the haste in choosing Manny so quickly was that it legally allowed Manny/Miami to get out of the Temple contract (if one was in fact ever signed ... its quite common to sign an LOI and agree to terms but then have the attorneys work out the nuances after the fact).
 
Buyout was increased after Collins left. Miami is going have to pay it. $4 million probably for first year on the job then reduces for every year afterwards. Peanuts I guess, compared to the rumored $10 million for Cristobal. Temple won't budge, they are left without a coach and class full of recruits that don't have a coach.

Coaches buyouts are usually smaller than school buyouts. I doubt it’s a 4m buyout and I also expect that the contract was never signed. Pretty sure Miami didn’t ask permission to speak to Diaz
