What are you talking about? Look at both of their stats Freshman year (2017). Jones had more yards and touchdowns. Both Black and Jones were held back because they never had a QB.

He arrived as the No. 15 wide receiver nationally in the 2017 recruiting class, per 247Sports' composite rankings. Baumgardner penciled him in as one of the Wolverines' starting wideouts for 2018 and described him as "the best receiver on the team" prior to his broken foot as a true freshman.

Jones was the number one receiver coming out of high school. He was the number 12 overall recruit. He had a lot of hype coming in. Both guys were limited because they never had a qb. We will never see their full potential in college. But I think DPJ will be very good in the pros.
