I swear, if Golden could somehow WIN some big games, that man would be a God!

I was never a fan of his, but I hope im wrong. I want him to do well, because if he does, watch the 4uck out America!
 
I wonder where they are hearing this talk. I feel we dropped the ball last year in Tampa recruiting big time.

The dude with Big County Preps is dialed in on the Tampa athletes that's for damed sho! Miami got a ton of fans in Tampa! If Greg Schiano was made coach tomorrow we'd get the top players from this area before fall practice begins. Nobody feeling Al up this way and that's only reason kids going to Tally and gatesville. Honestly speaking they should announce a new coach long before seasons end so kids will get excited. Then when the new staff can get out to recruit and retain it'll be much easier and allow them time to flip studs and withdraw scholies/offers from average players. Show dog on the field and Tampa will come.
 
Why do people turn every thread into a golden thread? Like Golden has had no influence on these recruits liking Miami.
 
Funny story, around signing day I was speaking with a high school football coach in the Tampa are and he says out of all the schools in Florida, he feels Miami is recruiting the Tampa area the best. He said UF used to run the area and they still have some pull, but according to him he said Muschamp turned a lot of Tampa coaches off with his methods of recruiting. He also couldn't stop talking about hiring Larry Scott, said he's one of the best Tampa recruiters and a "steal of a coach"

In all honesty, they have done a better job of focusing in on the area, but they're still some schools they seem to be out of reach with, hopefully for Miami's sake a guy like Scott can mend or make those relationships.
 
Similar to Mike Runph's and the Miami Central coach's comments. This staff is working their butts off. I hope they win some big games this year. Recruiting is huge in College football and this staff can do that. We lose recruits because we have been losing games that we should have won.
 
Tito, could you get into the specifics of what Muschamp did to turn off Tampa coaches?
