Taking a stab at the 2015 2-deep

Gall/Linder; Linder/Knighton

I am hoping we slide Linder inside to Center next year. It would be nice to have a smart, mauler center again & it would help counter his lack of size. Let the battle for LG play out during the spring/fall camp.

I'd love to hear thoughts on the 2016 DT depth chart.

I would not rule Gus out as a RB. Nothing I have seen from him would make me believe he is a FB? In my opinion, our RB depth needs more than one guy with experience. There's no way I see a 180 pound Yearby being able to stay healthy for a whole season as our featured back. Perhaps Scarlett, Gray, Walton, Williams can jump right in, but one missed block on a passing play and Kaaya is getting hit.

Don't see Jenkins playing 3-4 DE. Think it will be a 3 way battle at NT between Heurt, Jenkins, Wyche. Kamalu and Moten will occupy the one spot. Thomas and who knows at the other. We run this system but don't recruit 3-4 DEs.

All that pass rush potential between Thomas, McCord, AQM, Harris, Jackson and we will find a way to keep that speed off the field. Unfortunately, Thomas isn't going to be the disruptive force he should be. These guys should all be good pash rushers, they won't get more then 10-15 between them all.

Looking at the this makes me even more baffled at some of our recruiting decisions.

Where is the urgency to get young CBs and LBs into the program. Our LB depth is downright scary.

Looking at our style of D and then looking at the depth chart just angers me beyond belief.

Completely agree with this. We seem to be stockpiling 4-3 rush ends for our 3-4 read and react soft zone defense. Doesn't make any sense. However, if Folden gets canned or is forced to bring in a new DC and he runs an attacking 4-3 I'm excited about the potential.

The injury (unfortunately) might bring back flowers.

He'll be back and he needs to show he can actually block out in space. His draft stock has plummeted I'd imagine since he seemingly can't find anyone to put a body on when he's asked to move.

With AQM coming back I can see them moving Tyriq to SLB. Or at least that's what I would do just because of depth. Jelani wil never be a 2-deep player at Miami. He will be transferring. Jenkins is a NT not a DT in 3-4. Mike Smith will be a LB as well. I can possible see Dallas being moved to CB as well.

I'm assuming Duke Johnson and Ereck Flowers are gone:

QB:
Brad Kaaya, Malik Rosier, Dwayne Lawson

RB:
Joe Yearby, Gus Edwards, Trayone Gray, anyone of the 3 stud freshmen coming in

FB:
Walter Tucker

WR:
Herb Waters, Malcolm Lewis

WR:
Stacy Coley, Rashawn Scott

Slot:
Braxton Berrios

TE:
Standish Dobard, Jake O'Donnell, Chris Herndon or David Njoku

LT:
Kc McDermott, Tyree St. Louis

LG:
Nick Linder, Hunter Wells

C:
Alex Gall, Hunter Knighton

RG:
Danny Isidora, Joe Brown

RT:
Taylor Gadbois, Trevor Darling

On offense:
-QB is great so long as Kaaya doesn't go down.
-RB is insane (water is wet).
-WR is more than solid, so long as Coley gets back into gear.
-TE is a ? since none of the returning guys have been thrown to much as of yet.
-OL will probably take a step back, although Linder entrenching himself already is a big plus. No idea if Brown and Grimsley are even real people as of yet.

NT:
Calvin Heurtelou, Michael Wyche, Earl Moore

DT:
Ufomba Kamalu, Courtel Jenkins, Anthony Moten

DE:
Chad Thomas, Jelani Hamilton, Richard McIntosh

RE:
Tyriq McCord, Al-Quadin Muhammad, Trent Harris, Demetrius Jackson or Mike Smith

Will:
Jermaine Grace, Terry McCray

Mike:
Raphael Kirby, Juwon Young

Sam:
Darrion Owens, Charles Perry

CB:
Artie Burns, Corn Elder

Nickel:
Antonio Crawford

SS:
Deon Bush, Jamal Carter, Marques Gayot

FS:
Rayshawn Jenkins, Dallas Crawford, Jaquan Johnson

CB:
Tracy Howard, Ryan Mayes

On defense:
-No idea what I'm talking about, so feel free to tell me how stupid I am if I have guys in the wrong position.
-DL doesn't look like it will be much better/worse next season other than the fact that AQM will potentially be back.
-LB is going to miss Denzel (water is STILL wet). I assume Kirby will take over inside since Young hasn't shown much as of yet.
-CB won't be much different. Gunter is a solid player but it's hardly a debilitating loss.
-S looks good on paper, but it looked good on paper last summer too. Jenkins being back, and maybe even Johnson blowing up as a freshman, makes this unit better.

We should be fine at linebacker if McCord and Smith move.

Kirby
McCord
Grace
Owens
Young
Smith
McCray

oooowweeeeeeee
