I think the rumor re-surfaced when the Herald's Mammary Navarro hinted at it.

At Oklahoma State, in a P5 conference that at the time was absolutely loaded...Taggart couldn’t even win at USF and it took Kharley Skrong to get them to a conference championship birth.
