We lost last year because of Goldens philosophy.... Slow offense which limited possessions and essentially asked a true freshman QB to be perfect every time he was on the field to score. Horrible redzone game planning and execution,a passive bend don't break defensive scheme and horrible 3rd down defense. No halftime adjustments.

It's the gameday coaching that sucks. The scheme is ridiculous and the corches don't know where to put the kids to succeed.
What happening is nfl scouts realizing the players actually are very talented.
It's more of an indictment of Golden IMHO.
It means that he will never win more than nine games because it isn't about talent.

I seem to recall a ton of pre-season stories about Dorsett really dedicating himself to getting stronger and stepping up everything on his side. Did we ever stop to think that a coach can only develop so much? I mean...I'm sure his HS coaches taught him how to cut in and out and how to catch it right, etc.

I think what we're seeing in Dorsett is a guy who is in amazing shape and has a really good head on his shoulders. Pro teams love that speed and strength and smarts. There are probably a million guys who "run great routes" and "catch everything"...but a kid like this just has that something extra teams love...and I personally dont think any coach gave that to him.
