Still need another CO-OC

According to Miami's official release of this hiring he is the pass game coordinator.

It's just a title. Richt will be calling the game.

Dugans and Brown are going to be responsible for game planning and all of those things during the week and installing the offense. Nothing more, so no reason to freak out about a title.

You see less of the "CO-Coordinator" position titles at the pro level for some reason.

In college, the co-coordinator, assistant HC, associate HC are titles given to justify paying a little more and usually expanding their roles. The pros don't have to fool with the titles. It's a different world.

Yes and there are no limits as to the number of coaches (9 it was said?) in The NFL.

We all know how The Nicktator loved to have his 57 asst coaches when he was in The NFL with The Fins. How he manages with just 9 at Bama is amazing!

He doesn't have just 9, that's how. Bama has plenty of "quality control" and GA's to staff another team. Also the strength staff is 9 deep. (though I'm sure just 5 are paid via salary from the school).

Good coaches attract "work for free" helpers.

Gotcha. 9 is "just a number" when you have an unlimited budget in Tuscaloosa!!!

The limit is on on-field coaches who can recruit. There is no limit on support staff, but they can't recruit and the can't coach on-field. But, we all know a lot of coaching goes on off-field. So, yeah, spend more; get more coaches.
