Matt Limegrover, OL coach with over 25 years experience, including OC duties at Minnesota
under Jerry Kill.
Good coach.

But Manny will not put any of his stooges out as he does not want a coach he feels is superior to him on this staff. Must eliminate the head coach to get anything done and that requires Blake also.

New OC wants his guy.

Yeap, and they have another rising coach on staff who they want to hold on to, he's currently coaching TEs
but may be moved to OL coaching duties.
Not all fired coaches are bad at what they do.
Sometimes they are on the wrong place at the wrong time.

Limegrover was not all that good. Kill’s offense was not great by any means. Penn State just hired the Gophers current OC under Fleck who was really good - had the two top WRs in The Big 10 and a young QB balling out.

For sure.

Larry Johnson, the OSU DL coach Urban Meyer gushed over in another thread, was hired by Meyer after Penn State and new HC James Franklin let him walk after 18 seasons. Technically he may not have been ‘fired’ but he wasn’t retained either. He was one of the best DL coaches then, too, and Meyer hired him as fast as he could.

By CIS rules, Johnson would have been un-hireable.
