I've processed the hire. I'm no longer comparing it to Randy Shannon. Yes, Blake James should be fired for not doing his job and essentially stealing University money.
You won't hear me in 1,2, or 3 years saying "I told you so" and hopefully most of us were wrong about it being a poor choice.
Things need to change, and the Diaz hire alone isn't a guarantee of failure or success. What really needs to change is the school's approach to football. Recruits are no longer handed to us. Wins are no longer handed to us and coaches are no longer handed to us.
Keep this in mind, schools like GT, BC and Miami pull coaches out of Temple. That's where we are. That's who we are. A middling ACC program.
Good luck to Diaz. I hope he can point out what MSU offense worked and what Texas $$$$ worked.
