Listening to interviews with former players and coaches the last few days, one theme keeps repeating.
It's like our coaches want to force their schemes and their style down our kids throat come **** or high water. Doesn't matter that it's not working, doesn't matter that it's been 4 years. These coaches are the epitome of stubbornness.
What we need is coaches on both sides of the ball who run a scheme that's closer to what these kids here in South Florida do in high school.
This read and react defense, and the pro style offense, are foreign to these kids.... so why are you going to shoot yourself in the foot by trying to reinvent the wheel? This is the hottest hotbed in the country for high school ball, just run a scheme that lets these kids do what they do naturally, that maximizes their talent, teach them a few things, and profit.
Every day it becomes clearer that Al Golden and Donofrio were never a great fit for Miami. They would have much more success coaching in the northeast somewhere.
