Pretty good explanation from the bigdog on youtube. I like it because it includes your running game. Essentially it gives your oline a edge where you have a extra olineman to help block.
There are also shuttle pass plays with multiple motions that leave not one, but both DEs unblocked (by design).
The spread isn't a blocking based scheme as much as it gives playmakers from QB, WR, TE, and RB chances to get the ball in space with only 1 (sometimes zero) defenders at point of receipt/attack.

Or just maybe using Tate because he can also throw and run.I lile the Wildcat with DJ who can run or pass. That even gives a extra dimension to the scheme.

As long as they incorporate two tightends on occasion, I'll be good. Jordan and Mallory are beasts. Both of those guys are better than all TE's on the Dolphins roster.
Accuracy is still key, which to your point in another thread is a knock on Martell’s chances.Dan Enos is not really running modern spread at all though. Looks more like a pro style zone run west coast so far.
Having someone more accurate like jarren actually allows us to utilize more of the spread variables and make it a true spread coast offense.Dan Enos is not really running modern spread at all though. Looks more like a pro style zone run west coast so far.
