They just lost in 4 overtimes to Liberty at home.

Their QB got KO’d on a targeting call and left the game. Frank Gore’s kid played “QB” the rest of the game. Just basically a wildcat type offense.

They did it some last year too, it’s essentially Frank vs the other team. He’s a stud but they’re not very good and if their QB is out, forget it. We should be a 3 TD favorite on Saturday.

You also tend to show whatever you’ve got in the bag (at this early point in the season) during a 4OT game.

If that helps our Defense get a good game plan, maybe it will help us control the game to the point WE don’t have to show much of anything going into TAMU.

I know I looked at our offense today and saw a limited call set. On defense, we looked like one of those All-Star games where the teams aren’t allowed to blitz or do any disguise.

Plus, we might preserve our guys earlier in the game.

Whatever helps us gain an edge against TAMU.

Southern Miss is not good. Gore is their entire offense, regardless of who is at QB. Liberty without Willis is not a good team either.

Dam forgot this is the team Gore plays for..

He’s going to do everything in his power to ball out against us.

With their lack of QBs and how one dimensional their offense is we really should shut them down. I’ll be disappointed if we allow more than 10 points to this team.

In fact, it could be one of those situations where the other team’s offense is so bad it conceals deficiencies that get exposed again against A&M, particularly at LB.
